Court: Pings

The rule of thumb in this post is that I'm trying to give some general guidelines for what is available to be sensed in this weird OC-verse I made up for myself. Ideally there should be enough information for you to make a judgment call on whether or not your character can sense a specific ping.
If the following information doesn't answer a question you have, feel free to drop a comment here and I will respond as soon as possible. Feel free to use this post to request specific ping information as well. You don't need to tell me in advance what your character can/cannot pick up from Barakiel.
PINGS EMITTED
- He is an angel and pings of holy multidimensional celestial things. As an angel of lightning he also pings of electricity and magnetism.
- His physical form is something called a "vessel", which in his world is a magically treated human corpse. The vessel is an object that contains his true form. While it's not really undead the way a zombie would be, it's definitely not a living thing, even if it seems to function like one (heartbeat, etc.).
- In addition to both of the above, Barakiel's true form and vessel have been carved with a lot of powerful holy sigils and magic circles. As a general rule these are not visible.The exception is if your character is divine or infernal in some way. Here are some examples to demonstrate this in practice.
So, to gods, angels, and demons, Barakiel's body is covered in dense black tattoos that look like...sigils and magic circles and things. His head, palms, and soles of his feet are the only place that aren't covered.
For anything else, the markings aren't visible at all, unless he chooses to reveal them, which will be noted in thread if it ever comes up.
RETCONNED 11/29/14: sigils and things are only visible if he reveals them or ~MYSTERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES~ occur.
PINGS SENSED
Barakiel can sense the presence of angels, demons, gods or god-like beings, and mages. He can sense the presence of magic in supernatural beings outside of that scope but they "feel" the same as a mage to him. His ping-radar can't detect presence of technological enhancements to humans, a category which includes genetic manipulation, cyborgs, androids, etc.
Generally speaking, if your character is angelic, demonic, or divine in some way, Barakiel should be able to pick up quite a bit of detail like power level relative to himself and any elemental types. Actual mages and supernatural beings "feel" the same to his ping-radar.
