Prompt 1: Everyday Life

So . . . Don't suppose I could get a smoke off of you?

Prompt 2: I Can't Believe It's Not Thusia

[Your character has died! And then . . . woken up in some cold stone room full of weird shrines??? Plus some strange dude is sitting next to you, puffing lightly on a cigarette.]

Oh, you're awake? Then welcome back to the land of the living. Or to the land of the re-living. Still not sure how the terminology works there.

As far as I'm aware! I don't know for sure, I make sure to give those types a wide berth.

Well, I'm not exactly a heroic type myself.

Ah, and here I thought a person was either or.

But my worldview! It's crumbling to pieces as we speak.

Something far more interesting, maybe? I'm quite over this "brought back to life" rubbish now.

There's not much of interest here other than the gods and survival, at the moment . . .

I can't really recommend exploring beyond the building, either.

That's all there is, huh.

[he tilts his head, though, and shoots a brief glance to the door] And why is that?

Well, a couple dozen people rebuilding a whole planet does take some time . . .

For the second part, it's because everything in the jungle beyond the building is poisonous, carnivorous, or both.

One would think they'd prepare for our arrivals a little better. All work and no play, as they say . . .

[there's a beat] Ah. So I'm inviting death to take me again should I wander out there unarmed.

More or less. There are ways to be brought back if you die, but that requires someone willing to pay for it . . . and if no one days, the gods can just bring more people in.

[he heaves a sigh, more put upon than annoyed]

I suppose I should look into getting myself some weapons, then.

[points at one of the shrines]

There's a good place to start.

You wouldn't happen to know which one would happen to have daggers, would you?

[jarredforlife]

[jabs at the one he pointed to again]

That one? If not, they'll be able to tell you where to go.

[wethrinaer]

Oh, lovely. Well, let us see if I cannot at least arm myself.

[he climbs to his feet and dusts himself off, then makes sure his clothes are presentable before heading over to the shrine]

[will probably take the opportunity to wander over to whichever god supplies his cigarettes and make sure their standing quest is still going well! so he'll probably still be in the room once Maias is finished.]

[Maias' own visit must've gone well enough, because he's walking away from one of the shrines with two, shiny daggers - both of which he twirls between his fingers, before they disappear into his sleeves.

He may have looked relaxed before, but now it's far more genuine]
