Prompt 1: Everyday Life

[A nondescript man pats down his pockets, frowns, and then heads your way with purpose.]

So . . . Don't suppose I could get a smoke off of you?

Prompt 2: I Can't Believe It's Not Thusia

[Your character has died! And then . . . woken up in some cold stone room full of weird shrines??? Plus some strange dude is sitting next to you, puffing lightly on a cigarette.]

Oh, you're awake? Then welcome back to the land of the living. Or to the land of the re-living. Still not sure how the terminology works there.

Prompt 3: You Make Up A Scenario

[You make up a scenario.]

[she scoffs, and slings her bookbag off her shoulder to check what she has]

You'd better pay me back.

Sure, sure. Might be a while though. I can't mug anyone until it gets dark.

[dreamvour]

[she pulls out a small wallet, a few keyrings dangling from it, and purses her lips as she pulls out what he'll need.

Then she holds it out to him with a stern expression]

I hope you're joking.

[jarredforlife]

[tries to take the money as quickly as possible so she can't change her mind]

If it'll ease your conscience when I hand you mysteriously acquired funds tomorrow, sure.

[she lets him take it, though her expression doesn't change]

I don't have a conscience.

[jarredforlife]

[yay money. stuffs in pocket and starts looking for the nearest place that looks like it sells cigarettes.]

No? Just as well then.

[dreamvour]

[she slings her bookbag over her shoulder again. Looks like there may be somewhere across the street?]

It's human. [she shrugs]

[heading over]

They do seem to crop up pretty regularly among them, don't they?

It's not something I've ever sought to understand.

Me neither . . . ?

Aren't you human though . . .

[dreamvour]

[she looks up at him, head tilted and lips twitching upward, amused]

You can't tell?

[jarredforlife]

You're not a witch or something . . .

I'm not.

[buying the cheapest pack he can get]

Not an angel or demon either.

So, what are you?

Leftovers.

[she seems amused] When the gods created everything, they needed to do something with what was left.

Is that so... You seem to have done well enough for yourself nonetheless.

[dreamvour]

More or less. [she shrugs a shoulder]

I guess I don't have to worry about hiding this at least.

[putting a cigarette in his mouth and snapping his fingers near the end, creating a spark that lights it]

Not unless you want me to pretend to be surprised.

I won't stop you if you feel the need to do it.

I'll pass. I don't make a habit of playing human in front of non-humans.

No? I've never been that good at it myself.

When you live among them, you get used to it.

I've never really been the "live among" type . . .

[instead of elaborating, though, she continues] And my domain is their dreams. So either way, I didn't have a choice.
